My name is Maria and I would like to tell the story of my experience.

I have wonderful granddaughters: Maria, Christina and Carla. One Sunday, when we were sitting with the whole family at the table, I looked at them and I thought about those time when I was young.

We talked and I suddenly asked them what is now considered a product for skin care.

Girls started talk about different ways, how they take care of themselves, they shared many ways with me. Everyone talked about different products, but they agreed in one thing: natural remedies are popular now to soften the skin and care. I will tell about some remedies and my (and not only) experience of using them. The photos will show my friends, whom I asked to be photographed :) and the remedies that were obtained as a result.

This is my story.

This is what my Maria advised me (on the picture, by the way, she is):

Mix together this ingredients and leave on face for 15 minutes before rinsing them off with warm water: 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey with 1 tablespoon (15 ml) ground flax meal and .5 cups (120 ml) plain Greek yogurt

Lemon Juice
The natural bleaching property of lemon juice makes it a perfect natural remedy for removing tan and sunburn. Being a rich source of citric acid, it helps in exfoliating skin, removing dead skin cells and impurities and shrinking open pores to provide a smooth and younger appearance to skin. It tightens the tissues and increases skin elasticity to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It also helps in improving complexion and adding a healthy glow to skin.

Squeeze out the juice from one lemon and dab on clean face with the help of cotton ball, let it stay for 30 minutes and wash off with water.

All it's needed is an egg!

Beat the egg and apply the mixture to face. Once it dries, wash off for skin that appears tighter and more toned. The protein in the egg promotes beautiful, youthful skin. The potassium preserves moisture. Riboflavin (also known as B2) can help protect from environmental stressors. Eggs are truly nourishing both for insides and outsides!

This is what my Carla advised me:

Select different oils for oily and combination skin. Even people with oily and combination skin need moisturizer for their skin. This can help smooth wrinkles and may even reduce redness and shine. Choose lighter natural oils to moisturize oil skin such as:

  • Argan oil
  • Jojoba oil
  • Grapeseed oil
  • Hemp seed oil

Carrot Honey Heaven
0.3 L of yogurt
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of olive oil

Instructions: Mix ingredients together and apply to face. Leave it on for around 15 minutes, but feel free to take a nap and leave it on a little longer. For deeper penetration into pores, warm the honey before mixing with the carrot.

Moisturized skin is the enemy of aging. The fats in carrot add moisture to skin, while the vitamin E helps even the look of skin tone. Honey is a humectant, meaning it binds moisture the skin. It is also can brighten the look of skin.

This is what my Cristina advised me:

1 tablespoon organic yogurt
1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 tablespoon sandalwood powder

Instructions: If skin is looking dull, mix all these ingredients, apply to face, and leave it on until it dries. When wash it off, skin will look refreshed! Sandalwood powder has a myriad of benefits and is of high importance in Ayurvedic medicine. The lactic acid in yogurt helps to smooth and moisturize the skin. Massage the ingredients into face as rinse them off for some exfoliation.

This recipe from Natural Skin Care: Alternative & Traditional Techniques

1 teaspoon of facial-quality clay (our Purifying Mud Mask would work perfectly)
1 teaspoon of instant oatmeal or oat flour
½ tablespoon of powdered milk
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of olive oil
water, to achieve paste consistency
1 drop of any essential oil (neroli, rose, lavender, or frankincense would be perfect!)

Instructions: Mix first five ingredients together until thoroughly combined. Add enough water to make the mixture into a paste. Add the essential oil (just a drop!) and mix until combined. Apply to face and enjoy ten minutes of aromatherapy! Clay is rich in minerals and removes impurities from the skin. No matter our age, skin can always benefit from detoxing! Milk cleanses and nourishes. Make sure to use high quality, organic, full fat milk for optimal benefits. Olive oil provides moisture and minerals. Honey helps bind this moisture to skin and lends its own skin brightening qualities.

So, I started using all these remedies from my granddaughters and recommended them to my friends and neighbors. A while passed and I felt that the men noticed me again! It is such a nice feeling! And once there was a funny case. I came with my granddaughter to the bank and the manager thought we were sisters! He asked: "Girls, are you sisters - students?"

Of course, I can not guarantee the exact result, but my experiments proved successful. Some of my friends too. Try it, maybe it works!
